CAMGA meetings are usually on the third Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. at the Elmore County Extension Auditorium but check the latest newsletter to be sure.  The centerpiece of a typical monthly CAMGA meeting is a one-hour program on some subject related to horticulture.  CAMGA programs are set several months in advance by the CAMGA Vice President and the current schedule is pr0vided below:

May  21 – Roses – Gloria Purnell, Master Rosarian, Birmingham

June 18 – Fire ants – Mallory Kelley, MG Coordinator, ACES

July 16 – 1) Food Safety/Canning   2) Pressure Cooking – Janice Hall, Regional Extension Agent, Food Safety and Quality

August 20 – Easy, healthy fruit you can grow – Gary Gray, Regional Agent, ACES

September 17 – Field Trip and meeting with lunch – Jason Powell, Petals from the Past

October 15 – Meeting at Lanark – Maria Pacheco-West plans a new Program

November 19 – Christmas Decor – Kevin Durham, Southern Homes and Gardens

December 17 – Christmas Party – location TBD
