Programs

CAMGA meetings are usually on the third Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. at the Elmore County Extension Auditorium but check the latest newsletter to be sure.  The centerpiece of a typical monthly CAMGA meeting is a one-hour program on some subject related to horticulture.  CAMGA programs are set several months in advance by the CAMGA Vice President and the current schedule is pr0vided below:

Feb 20 — Plant Propagation by Don Armstrong

Mar 20 — Gardening In Small Places … Alternative Methods of Gardening by  Glenn Huovinen

Apr 17 — Sustainable Living by Stacy Lynn Harris

May 15 —  Introduction to Bonsai by Mark  Waldo

June 19

Jul 17 –Tour George Farms, Inc.  in Eclectic, Alabama.  They specialize in Fresh Meat Cuts from grass fed Pork, Lamb, Goat, and Beef and use organic methods to grow their produce.

Sep 18 — Perennials.  We will travel to Petals From the Past by Jason Powell

Oct 16 — Presentation by Maria Pacheco-West at Lanark.
